Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of heavily salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
- Make the Sauce: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic, salt, and crushed red pepper; cook until fragrant. Mash the tomatoes with a spoon or masher. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
- Combine: Toss drained pasta with tomato sauce, basil, and Parmesan cheese. Add reserved pasta water as needed.
- Serve: Garnish with additional basil and Parmesan cheese.
