Description

Skillet Turkey Fajitas made with Honeysuckle White Southwest-Style Chipotle Ranchero Turkey Skillet Kit, sautéed bell peppers and onions, cooked in a flavorful sauce. Ready in under 30 minutes, these juicy and tender fajitas are perfect for tacos, burrito bowls, or lettuce cups.

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey and Sauce

  • 1 package Honeysuckle White Southwest-Style Chipotle Ranchero Turkey Skillet Kit
  • 1 saute sauce packet (included with kit)

Vegetables

  • 3 bell peppers, sliced into strips
  • 1/2 large onion, sliced into strips

Other

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • For serving: warm corn tortillas, rice, or lettuce cups

Instructions

  1. Prepare Turkey: Remove the seasoned turkey breast cutlets from the skillet kit and slice them into long thin strips. Cut open the sauté sauce packet and set aside for later use.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced bell peppers, onions, and kosher salt. Cook while stirring occasionally for 8 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  3. Set Vegetables Aside: Transfer the cooked peppers and onions to a large bowl. Cover with aluminum foil to keep warm and set aside.
  4. Cook Turkey: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced turkey strips and cook for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the turkey is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
  5. Combine and Finish: Return the softened peppers and onions to the skillet, pour in the sauté sauce, and toss everything together to coat evenly. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, allowing the mixture to warm through and the sauce to bubble.
  6. Serve: Serve the turkey fajitas immediately in warm corn tortillas for tacos, over rice as burrito bowls, or in lettuce cups for a lighter option.
