A delicious and classic Shrimp Scampi with Pasta recipe that’s quick and easy to make. Tender shrimp cooked in a flavorful garlic and white wine sauce, served over linguine and garnished with fresh parsley.

Pasta:

  • 1 (16 ounce) package linguine pasta

Shrimp Scampi:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 shallots, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes (Optional)
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pinch kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather ingredients.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil; cook linguine until nearly tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain.

  3. Cook the shrimp:
  4. Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook shallots, garlic, and red pepper flakes until shallots are translucent. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes. Remove shrimp and keep warm.

  5. Make the sauce:
  6. Pour white wine and lemon juice into the skillet, scraping the browned bits. Melt butter, stir in olive oil, and bring to a simmer.

  7. Combine and serve:
  8. Toss linguine, shrimp, and parsley in the sauce until coated. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil before serving.
