Description

Reese’s Rudolph Bites are festive, fun holiday treats made by decorating Reese’s Minis with candy eyes, red M&M’s for noses, pretzels for antlers, and colorful Airheads as scarves. These no-bake, easy-to-make bites are perfect for family gatherings and holiday parties, combining chocolate, peanut butter, and chewy candy to create adorable and delicious reindeer-themed snacks.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate and Candy Decorations

  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (17.6-oz.) package Reese’s Minis
  • 1 family-size package M&M’s, red candies only
  • 1 (2.9-oz.) bottle small candy eyes
  • 28 mini salted pretzels

Candy Scarves

  • 3 green Airheads
  • 3 red Airheads
  • 3 white Airheads

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: In a small heatproof bowl, microwave the semisweet chocolate chips in 10-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth, approximately 30 seconds in total.
  2. Prepare Reese’s Bases: Unwrap the Reese’s Minis and remove them from the paper cups. Arrange half of the candies (28 pieces) large side down on a clean work surface, reserving the remaining candies.
  3. Attach Facial Features: Use a small amount of the melted chocolate to attach a red M&M to the center of the small, flat side of each peanut butter cup, pressing firmly for a few seconds to adhere the nose. Let set for a few minutes to secure. Then, attach two candy eyes to the ridged edge of each cup using a dab of chocolate. Next, attach a mini salted pretzel to the top larger smooth side of the cup to simulate antlers, pressing gently.
  4. Chill Treats: Place the decorated peanut butter cups pretzel side down on a baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate has set, about 10 minutes.
  5. Prepare Candy Scarves: While the treats chill, use a rolling pin to flatten the green, red, and white Airheads into thin, even sheets. Using a paring knife, cut the flattened Airheads into 4-inch-long scarf strips.
  6. Decorate Remaining Reese’s: Arrange the reserved peanut butter cups large side down on a work surface and use a small amount of melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes and red M&M noses to create faces on the smaller flat sides. Refrigerate again for about 10 minutes to set.
  7. Finish Assembling Bites: Gently wrap the candy scarves around the “necks” of the peanut butter cups and secure them with a small dab of melted chocolate, completing the reindeer look.

Notes

  • These Reese’s Rudolph bites make adorable and delicious holiday treats perfect for parties or family gatherings.
  • The bites require refrigeration to set the chocolate properly, so plan accordingly.
  • You can substitute other colorful chewy candy for Airheads if desired.
  • Handle the candy eyes and pretzels gently to prevent breakage during assembly.
  • Microwave chocolate slowly to avoid burning and ensure a smooth melt.
