Description

Delicious and flavorful Lemon Pepper Turkey Wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Seasoned with a blend of spices and baked to perfection, then tossed in a zesty lemon pepper butter sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or holiday gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey Wings and Seasoning

  • 4 pounds turkey wings (4 large turkey wings)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning (salt-free)

Lemon Pepper Butter Sauce

  • 6 Tablespoons salted butter (I use Kerrygold)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

Garnish

  • Lemon wedges or slices (optional)
  • Minced parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 400° F (200° C). Line a 9 by 13 inch sheet pan with aluminum foil to ensure easy cleanup after baking.
  2. Prep and season turkey wings: Cut the full turkey wings at the joints, discarding tips or saving for stock. Rinse wings and pat them dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, combine wings with salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried parsley, and lemon pepper seasoning. Toss thoroughly to coat evenly.
  3. Bake turkey wings: Place the seasoned wings on the prepared baking sheet and put in the oven. Bake for 1 hour total, flipping the wings after 30 minutes to ensure even cooking. Wings are done when an instant-read thermometer reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part without touching bone.
  4. Make lemon pepper butter sauce: While wings bake, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in lemon pepper seasoning to combine.
  5. Toss turkey wings with lemon pepper butter sauce: Transfer baked wings to a large bowl and pour the lemon pepper butter sauce over them. Toss well so each wing is evenly coated. Alternatively, brush both sides of each wing with the sauce using a basting brush.
  6. Garnish and serve: Garnish with additional lemon pepper seasoning, lemon wedges or slices, and minced parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • These Lemon Pepper Turkey Wings are juicy inside with a crispy outside crust packed with lemony garlic flavor.
  • Ideal for everyday dinners or special holiday meals thanks to their easy preparation and impressive taste.
  • Using salted butter adds richness, but you can adjust salt levels to taste if preferred.
  • If desired, save turkey wing tips for homemade stock to reduce waste.
