Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1/4 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1/4 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Layering:
- 1 1/4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1/4 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (with or without garlic added)
- 1/4 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 can evaporated milk
- 1/5 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese

Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat the oven to 375°F and spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
- Cooking Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onions, and garlic until the beef is no longer pink. Drain well and season with salt and pepper.
- Layering: Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes in the prepared pan, followed by half of the cooked beef. Combine the mushroom and chicken soups, milk, and evaporated milk in a bowl; whisk together. Pour half of this mixture over the beef and sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Repeat the layers and finish with the remaining cheese on top.
- Baking: Cover the pan with foil, tenting it to prevent sticking to the cheese. Bake for 1 hour, then uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
- Resting: Allow the casserole to stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
