Ingredients
Scale
Dough
- 1 mug self-raising flour
- ¾ mug natural yogurt
Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 4 tbsp water
Toppings
- 200 g Buffalo Mozzarella
- 2 black olives
- Fresh basil leaves, to serve
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 200°C (392°F) to ensure it’s at the perfect temperature for baking the mini pizzas.
- Make the dough: In a mixing bowl, add the self-raising flour and natural yogurt. Stir them together until they come together to form a dough. Then lightly flour your work surface and gently knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Shape the pizzas: Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Using your palm, press each portion into a small pizza shape and place them on a lightly floured baking tray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the tomato sauce: Mix the tomato puree, dried oregano, crushed garlic, and water in a bowl until smooth and well combined to create a flavorful sauce.
- Assemble the pizzas: Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over each pizza base. Thinly slice the buffalo mozzarella and cut each slice into mini ghost shapes. Place the ghost-shaped cheese slices on top of the pizzas.
- Add the eyes and mouth: Cut tiny pieces from the black olives to represent the eyes and mouth of the ghost shapes, arranging them carefully on the cheese.
- Bake the pizzas: Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the dough is cooked through and golden.
- Serve: Remove the pizzas from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving warm.
Notes
- For a crispier base, you can pre-bake the dough shapes for 3-4 minutes before adding the sauce and toppings.
- If you don’t have self-raising flour, you can substitute plain flour with 1½ tsp baking powder.
- Use whole black olives or sliced olives depending on the size and shape you prefer for the eyes and mouth.
- These mini pizzas are perfect for kids’ parties or as a fun snack with a spooky theme.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best texture.
