For the Beef:
- 1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin, cubed into 2″ chunks
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 bay leaves, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 c Madeira wine
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
For Skewering:
- 3 Roma tomatoes, halved
- 2 green peppers, halved and seeded
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Combine garlic, bay leaves, and pepper. Rub mixture on beef and marinate in wine and oil.
- Marinate: Refrigerate beef for 4 hours or overnight.
- Grilling: Skewer beef, tomatoes, and peppers. Grill for 3-5 minutes each side.
- Rest and Serve: Let skewers rest, then serve on crusty bread.
