Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Chicken Caesar Wrap combining crisp romaine lettuce, tender chicken, creamy Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Salad Mixture

  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup homemade croutons
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Wraps

  • 4 flour tortillas or wraps, 10-inch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salad mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and croutons. Use tongs to toss everything well, ensuring that the dressing coats the ingredients evenly. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the dressing if needed and set aside.
  2. Warm the tortillas: Heat a large pan over medium heat and warm each tortilla for about 15 to 30 seconds per side until they become pliable and easy to fold. Alternatively, microwave tortillas between paper towels for 15 to 30 seconds. Place warmed tortillas on a plate and cover with a kitchen towel to keep warm.
  3. Assemble the wraps: Lay the tortillas on a clean, flat surface. Divide the Caesar salad mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center of each. Fold in the opposite sides of each tortilla, then roll them up burrito-style to enclose the filling. Optionally, secure each wrap with a toothpick to hold it in place.
  4. Serve: Cut the wraps in half or serve whole, immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors at their best.

Notes

  • For best taste and texture, consume the wraps on the day they are made.
  • The chicken, lettuce, and other ingredients can be prepped ahead of time to make assembly quick.
  • Use homemade croutons for better flavor and texture, or substitute with store-bought if short on time.
  • You can substitute Caesar dressing with a lighter version to reduce fat content.
