Description

This Chicken Cabbage Stir Fry Recipe is a quick and flavorful dish that combines tender chicken with crunchy cabbage in a savory soy sauce-based stir-fry. Perfect for a simple weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Stir Fry:

  • 23 Green Onions, bulb and stalks separated and sliced
  • 8.5 ounces Chicken Boneless
  • 1 inch Ginger Fresh
  • 23 Garlic Cloves
  • 1/3 small head Cabbage, shredded Green or napa
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil (vegetable, canola, sunflower)
  • 2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce (thin regular type)
  • 1/4 cup Water (not needed if using napa cabbage)

To garnish:

  • Sesame Seeds or Sesame Oil
  • Red Chili Pepper Flakes (Red Chili Flakes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Slice the green onions, separate the bulbs and stalks. Cut chicken into pieces, shred cabbage, chop ginger and garlic.
  2. Stir Fry Onions: Heat oil, stir-fry onion bulbs.
  3. Add Aromatics: Add ginger and garlic, stir-fry.
  4. Cook Cabbage: Add cabbage, cook until it reduces in size.
  5. Finish Stir-Fry: Add soy sauce and water, cook until cabbage is tender.
  6. Cook Chicken: Add chicken, cook until done.
  7. Final Touches: Garnish with sesame seeds, red chili flakes, and green onion. Serve hot.

Notes

  • 8.5 ounces of chicken is approximately 1 very large chicken breast or about 1 ½ cups of uncooked chicken.
  • You can use regular or napa cabbage in this recipe. Napa cabbage cooks faster and may not require water.
  • Regular soy sauce is recommended, but low-sodium soy sauce can also be used.
