For the Stir Fry:
- 2–3 Green Onions, bulb and stalks separated and sliced
- 8.5 ounces Chicken Boneless
- 1 inch Ginger Fresh
- 2–3 Garlic Cloves
- 1/3 small head Cabbage, shredded Green or napa
- 1 Tablespoon Oil (vegetable, canola, sunflower)
- 2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce (thin regular type)
- 1/4 cup Water (not needed if using napa cabbage)
To garnish:
- Sesame Seeds or Sesame Oil
- Red Chili Pepper Flakes (Red Chili Flakes)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Slice the green onions, separate the bulbs and stalks. Cut chicken into pieces, shred cabbage, chop ginger and garlic.
- Stir Fry Onions: Heat oil, stir-fry onion bulbs.
- Add Aromatics: Add ginger and garlic, stir-fry.
- Cook Cabbage: Add cabbage, cook until it reduces in size.
- Finish Stir-Fry: Add soy sauce and water, cook until cabbage is tender.
- Cook Chicken: Add chicken, cook until done.
- Final Touches: Garnish with sesame seeds, red chili flakes, and green onion. Serve hot.
Notes
- 8.5 ounces of chicken is approximately 1 very large chicken breast or about 1 ½ cups of uncooked chicken.
- You can use regular or napa cabbage in this recipe. Napa cabbage cooks faster and may not require water.
- Regular soy sauce is recommended, but low-sodium soy sauce can also be used.
