Description

This Cherry Pie Dirty Soda is a refreshing and fun soda mocktail inspired by the popular ‘dirty soda’ trend. Combining fresh cherries, Dr. Pepper, and a smooth vanilla cherry cold foam, this drink is a perfect balanced blend of sweet, fizzy, and creamy flavors—reminiscent of delightful cherry pie in a glass.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Cherry Mixture:

  • 2/3 cup whole cherries, seeds removed (fresh or frozen and thawed)

For the Soda Base:

  • 2 - 7.5 ounce cans Dr. Pepper

For the Cold Foam:

  • 1/2 cup vanilla creamer (Chobani brand or similar)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherries: Mince the cherries finely until they are small enough to easily fit through a straw. You should get a few spoonfuls of cherry juice from chopping; set this juice aside for the cold foam.
  2. Make the cold foam: Using a frother or a smoothie blender, combine the vanilla creamer and the reserved cherry juice. Froth until you achieve a thick, creamy but easily pourable cold foam.
  3. Assemble the drinks: Place 4 tablespoons of the minced cherries at the bottom of each glass. Add ice cubes to fill about two-thirds of each glass.
  4. Add the soda: Pour the Dr. Pepper into each glass, leaving about 2 inches of space at the top to accommodate the cold foam.
  5. Top with cold foam: Carefully spoon or pour the cherry vanilla cold foam over the soda. Gently stir to combine, being careful not to agitate too much to avoid overflow due to carbonation.

Notes

  • For a lower-calorie option, substitute with cherry vanilla creamer like Ollipop.
  • Diet Dr. Pepper is also an acceptable alternative for fewer calories.
