Brownie Cookie Recipe Ingredients:
- 12 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (60-70% cacao)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder¹
- 1 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a saucepan, melt bittersweet chocolate chips and butter, stirring until smooth. Set aside.
- Beat Eggs and Sugars: Using a stand mixer, beat eggs, sugars, vanilla, baking powder, and salt until thick and creamy.
- Add Chocolate: Mix in melted chocolate until well combined.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Stir in flour and cocoa powder until just combined.
- Add Mix-ins: Stir in nuts and mini chocolate chips.
- Chill Batter: Cover and chill batter for 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven, scoop batter onto lined sheets, and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet to develop a shiny, crackly crust.

- I don’t recommend Dutch-processed cocoa powder in this recipe.
